I was lucky enough to be invited along to an event in collaboration with TEMPUR to design my perfect morning. After a pretty bad nights sleep…(I don't have a TEMPUR mattress, yet) it couldn't have been more welcome. We started the morning with the most gorgeous yoga class, and I honestly didn't realise just how badly I needed it. I'm usually a great sleeper, largely due to my little bedtime routine, but I had been out at a music event and got home too late to do it and I was still pretty excited from the event (it was Bastille and I adore them…). Once we were all stretched out and feeling fresh, we headed over to the breakfast station, which was brimming with granola, yoghurt and fruit. I got stuck in, and grabbed a fruit tea too. We basically had a really lovely breakfast in bed situation so we could test out the incredible mattresses, and if I'm being honest, I didn't want to leave!
It only seems fair that I share my sleepy tips with you at this point:
-Camomile tea, 2-3 cups a day and one 30 minutes before bedtime
-Phone OFF 1 hour before you drop off to sleep (even putting your phone on night time mode doesn't count!)
-Read something! Or invest in an adult colouring book, super soothing
-Face mask the life out of your face
-I keep a notepad at the side of my bed, and if I'm struggling to drop off or if I wake up worried about something, I'll scribble it down and close it off until morning
I hope you've enjoyed this little lifestyle post. It's important to always get the most out of your time to rest and sleep so I hope if you aren't the best sleeper, you'll try some of my tips. Feel free to tweet me with any questions you might have @lindseydholland. This post is in collaboration with TEMPUR but all thoughts are my own! Check out their website for more information on their Hybrid mattresses.
xx
I should really turn off my phone before bed but I am so bad at getting off social media!
