Made in Shoreditch 2nd issue launch party
So here you have it, the Made in Shoreditch Magazine second issue launch party. I made the trip from North to South to attend this invite only, wonderfully successful London based mag's party (it does help that I write for them!) Situated in the beautiful heart of Shoreditch at a venue called Mordern Jago, a space designed for collaborative work tasks by Microsoft. Graffiti on the walls, plush pink lit rooms and a room with chairs and books stuck to the walls. What more could you want for inspiration? Free world fruit beers and prosecco were flowing, music was loud and the place was packed full of interesting sorts! Oh and the toilets were same sex....the look on the boys faces when walking in to find a que full of girls was priceless, even after the fourth time.
The beautiful and elegant British born Mischa Barton was the cover girl for the second issue so she came along to say a few words and pose for some photos with the likes of, well, me! She has just opened up her boutique for her new clothing line as well as her bags in Shoreditch. Mischa talked to the magazine about why she chose Shoreditch to set up her store, she said she feels its such an inspiring subburb and her parents are huge fans of the place!
There were performances from Rufio Summers (above), James Craise, and music from DJ Marcela (Hoxton Radio)- these guys made it a fantastic night!
My Flash Trash online jewellery boutique
Cult online jewellery boutique WWW.MYFLASHTRASH.COM features a wide range of rings, necklaces, bracelets and more from the world’s most up and coming designers and more established brands.
Regularly featured in Vogue, Elle and Grazia My Flash Trash has gained a reputation as the go to jewellery and accessories store with fans including Mischa Barton, Alexis Jordan, Edie Campbell, Tallulah Harlech, Rihanna and Cheryl Cole.
This is the latest campaign by new designer Mei-Li Rose, launched earlier this month. She has some gorgeous, graphic and sleek pieces that have been lapped up by press!
Statement jewellery is all I can think about at the moment. I tend to pair my simple Oxford shirts with a hefty around the collar necklace.

What jewellery are you feeling this season?
