City Summer

It feels like forever since I posted on here, life is HECTIC. The run up to London Fashion Week is getting too exciting and I am feeling too unorganised!

I went to the Cow Vintage launch party in Manchester last week and picked up the perfect pair of reworked Levi shorts. I've been hunting for some ready for Thailand in January and I think its highly likely that I'll spend the 14 days wearing these! I went out for dinner with one of my best friends as my belated birthday present last night, Italian as usual, and it was gorgeous. I wanted to dress up, but not too much, so my shorts made my look much more city chic rather than, on my holidays!
Yesterday I received a very special parcel from Daniel Wellington watches, I chose the Sheffield in black and gold so I can wear it with everything- I teamed this with my staple pieces of jewellery and it fit right in.
I don't know if you saw, but if you follow me on Twitter I told the world that I'd found a bunch of amazing pieces by & Other Stories in TK Maxx. So here I'm wearing double & Other Stories in the form of the silk shirt and structured jacket. I slipped into my favourite Zara sale loafer babies and felt like I should be shopping and dining in NYC. Sadly, this time, it was just Cheshire.

Denim and Crops

Here I am again decked out in some key pieces from Pretty Little Thing. My take on double denim is always black and blue, I just can't get along with blue on blue...My main styling twist here is the crop top. Crop tops, to me, scream night out with the girls. So because I would never dare to go as girly as a crop top without anything else involved to help to cover me up....I decided to pop my trusty Lee denim shirt under the cut out crop top, voila! These jeans are amazing, I absolutely love the multi zip detail and seamed knee patches, an absolute staple piece for the impending A/W season. My boots are also PLT, just the right amount of chunky to toughen up my look, and super comfy too! PLT have got some amazing transitional pieces in at the moment- you should absolutely check them out.

Tight White

Happy Friday! So here I am in the tightest white jeans you've ever seen. I had a job to get in and out of them! White jeans are a piece I have wanted in my wardrobe for a while, but now that they have arrived, I'm too scared to wear them- just during my outfit shots I managed to get them dirty. Nevertheless, I love them and Boohoo are high on my fash list. I popped my Another 8 checked crop on with them for a checked Summer update. You can shop this Another 8 piece online and exclusively at Topshop on Oxford Street.

Keeping it simple

There are two things that hold a strong place in my wardrobe, stripes and ripped jeans, not to mention these killer chained slip ons I got in the Zara sale - I saw those babies ages ago and couldn't believe that they went down to £25.99. I am dying over them! My shirt is new season Zara, the first of many Zara purchases for the season ahead. I really think that stripes are wearable season after season so I *try* to tell myself that striped pieces are investments, and it helps me sleep at night. I'm wearing my beloved Olivia Burton midi dial watch and Monica Vinader Fiji bracelet in these shots - I am such a magpie when it comes to jewels!  My hair is freshly coloured rose gold and I really love it! Such a nice change.

Holiday Essentials

So I jet off to Greece on Friday for a long weekend as a surprise for my dad's 60th Birthday. The amount of phone calls we have shared where I have almost blown the surprise should go down in history! But, so far so good and he doesn't suspect a thing! I just wanted to share a couple of the things that I'll be taking along and obsessing over whilst I'm there.

Porter Magazine
Monica Vinader Fiji bracelet
Clarins instant light complexion perfector
The Little Deer sunglasses

This is not ALL of my packing, but that lot is too much of a mess to share with you, so you get the edited version instead!

Have a lovely weekend and I'll be posting some holiday outfits once I'm home.

DPDressSelfie Competition

The lovely lot at Dorothy Perkins sent me a dress of my choice to take part in the DP Dress Selfie competition they are running until 1st July. The prize for best selfie? a dress  every month for a whole YEAR c/o Dorothy Perkins. That's pretty cool isn't it, and anyone can take part! You simply snap yourself wearing your fave DP dress and use the hashtag #DPDressSelfie on Instagram or Twitter so they can find your entry. I chose this gorgeous stripy tunic denim dress and teamed it with my favourite trench, satchel and metallic brogues for a day out with my mum. My dad recently got himself a pretty swish camera and so I made him put his new skills to the test, and for his first attempt at blog shots, I'd say he was pretty damn good! Go on dad!

Amsterdam Fashion Week with Fashion Chick

Amsterdam Fashion Week with Fashion Chick

Amsterdam Fashion Week with Fashion Chick by ropesofholland featuring ACNE Studios, Karl Lagerfeld, Monica Vinader, Rebecca Taylor, Tom Ford, Topshop & Zara.

What I'd pack everything into....
Saint Laurent duffle bag

Emergency extras....
Emergency Fashion Week Items
The wonderful girls at Fashion Chick are giving one lucky blogger an unbelievable opportunity to attend (and be spoiled!) at Amsterdam Fashion Week. I love Holland, I love the Dutch and I especially love the influence they have had on fashion, and not just because my surname is, indeed, Holland.
This is what I would wear to Amsterdam Fashion Week, I love oversized pieces that fall beautifully over one another, and I'm a complete sucker for a statement pair of boots. I'm also a great lover of luggage so the perfect weekend bag would have to be this beautiful Saint Laurent one.
One more thing that would be important to me at Fashion Week is comfort, so in case of shoe emergency, I opted for some cool pastel Nike Flyknits to ease my aching feet, some Carmex to keep my lips looking lovely and the ever pretty bottle of Fiji water to make sure I'm hydrated.

I hope you like my outfit and I'd love to see your entries so leave your links for me & good luck!
