That Ganni Dress: part two
It's the Ganni "Lucky" dress, and it comes in a shirt and wide leg pants. Lucky.
If you ask me, and lets assume you have for the purpose of this blog post....I'd say this kind of piece is what constitutes 'cool girl stripes'. I'm not saying I'm cool because that's daft. I'm saying, if you're going to invest in some statement stripes, Ganni is the one.
I'm wearing my super black ripped skinny jeans and my always favourite Acne Studios Adrianna trainers, and I've topped up my look with my beautiful Missoma layering necklaces.
Hopefully, you've all had the best weekend and aren't struggling with January blues! Get yourself some chocolate and have a browse through Pinterest.
Thank you so much as always, for reading. Your comments light up my day!

Drop waists and pinstripes
Hello 2016! I hope you all had the best Christmas and New Year's Eve. We spend so long anticipating this time of year and it seems to pass us by in a flash. I had the best time but I'm kind of ready to resume to normal life now, including four very wonderful days of work to recuperate!
Last week I went for a post Christmas catch up with one of my closet girls, Lauren (Lozza to me). We shot this look and then proceeded to eat too much cheese. I mean we were both pretty poorly afterwards. But I'd do it all again in the name of cheese.
I've been living in this drop waist dress from ASOS White, and I've come to conclude that drop waists are a tall girls best friend. Super flattering, black, with a v neck and crimped edges, scoring lots of lazy girl points for me.
My Daniel Wellington watch hasn't left my wrist since it arrived. You can't go wrong when its silver paired with black leather, it literally compliments everything. Especially a lot of my jewellery. When I went back to work after Christmas I felt all kinds of naked without it.
The leather strap is incredible, I adore the crocodile effect. You can shop my watch with 15% off when you enter "DWRopesofholland" at the checkout! You're welcome!
This pinstripe wonder is also by ASOS and has travelled all over with me recently. The stand up collar is what I like most about it, and the contrast of the grey with the navy blue. Amazing.
So my obsession with Missoma jewellery isn't coming to come to an end any time soon and my favourite pieces are firmly around my neck and wrist. They very rarely come off and have worn so well.
As usual I'm wearing my favourite bag ever, by Anya Hindmarch which is now back in stock! And my very special, metallic shoes are the Adriana trainers by Acne, which I cannot stop wearing. To be honest for the first few wears my feet were screaming, but now I've worn them in, they're perfect.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I'm spending mine with my other half, family and cups of tea.

New in: Acne Studios
If you'd had told me you saw a pink jacket in my future, I'd have said "bullshit" and to your face as well. Yet here I am in a pink, slightly metallic dream. What I've learned is that if it's the right cut and shape for you, colour can work. I mean, I'm not going to get carried away just because I've allowed one item of colour to enter my ever bleak wardrobe...but you can see my point. The longer line fit and boyish shape has it nailed.
I kept the rest of my outfit pretty simple because the jacket deserves it's own show. My trainers are by Opening Ceremony. I picked these up in New York last year and they will always hold a firm spot on my shoe shelf.

The knotted jumper
Hello from my Acne Studios knotted front jumper found thriftily in the Acne Archive AKA sample sale store, in Copenhagen. I absolutely love a knotted knit so you can imagine the eye widening situation when I (actually, it was Chris) found this. I recently got a new job so it was my "well done" present from Chris, I'm very lucky, most people would have got a card!
I suppose this type of statement piece could be hard to style, so I wanted to show you a way that I like to wear it and also, point you in the direction of your very own knotted knitwear.
I found these wonderful ones for you, a mix of price point and one brand, Yoins, that I've never heard of but I love the marl grey colour of that one, and its under £25....

Wishlist
I thought I'd share with you a few of the things that have caught my eye over the past couple of months. Let's start with the ASOS White collection top, ASOS can do no wrong in my eyes, and their White collection is second to none boasting beautiful quality and designs you won't find anywhere else. Then there's the staple Adriana trainer from ACNE Studios, my heart longs for a pair of these! One day! Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in a beautiful, bold red, 'KI.S.S.I.N.G' because she's the makeup brand of the moment and I'm dying to try it out. Then there's my go-to store, Whistles, who have offered up the most perfect AW camel hat that I will wear with everything. Last, but by no means least, there's the infamous Proenza Schouler mini bag. Words cannot descrie my desire for one of these, but until I'm rich, it will have to wait.

Amsterdam Fashion Week with Fashion Chick
Amsterdam Fashion Week with Fashion Chick by ropesofholland featuring ACNE Studios, Karl Lagerfeld, Monica Vinader, Rebecca Taylor, Tom Ford, Topshop & Zara.
What I'd pack everything into....
What I'd pack everything into....
Saint Laurent duffle bag
Emergency extras....
The wonderful girls at Fashion Chick are giving one lucky blogger an unbelievable opportunity to attend (and be spoiled!) at Amsterdam Fashion Week. I love Holland, I love the Dutch and I especially love the influence they have had on fashion, and not just because my surname is, indeed, Holland.
This is what I would wear to Amsterdam Fashion Week, I love oversized pieces that fall beautifully over one another, and I'm a complete sucker for a statement pair of boots. I'm also a great lover of luggage so the perfect weekend bag would have to be this beautiful Saint Laurent one.
One more thing that would be important to me at Fashion Week is comfort, so in case of shoe emergency, I opted for some cool pastel Nike Flyknits to ease my aching feet, some Carmex to keep my lips looking lovely and the ever pretty bottle of Fiji water to make sure I'm hydrated.

I hope you like my outfit and I'd love to see your entries so leave your links for me & good luck!

Charles Clinkard x Hunter Collaboration: Festival style
I was lucky enough to be asked to take part in the Charles Clinkard x Hunter blogger festival style competition. The task was to style my favourite pair of Hunter wellies in the perfect festival outfit. I chose the Hunter Gloss style, you can shop them HERE
Charles Clinkard have been selling shoes to the people of the world for over 85 years, that's a lot of time and a lot of shoes! You can get your very own pair of Hunter wellies by clicking through to the Charles Clinkard store, HERE
I have chosen to style my outfit as 'festival chic' I'm not the most practical of girls, I'd always choose looking and feeling good over a comfortable option! I hope you like it, I think I may have just tempted myself into buying this whole outfit.

Top 5's: music, threads, kicks, destination, accessory
I thought I'd write about the top 5 things I'm loving this month. Trend and Summer inspired, I hope you feel ready for the sun afterwards.
Music
Daughter covering Daft Punk 'Get Lucky'. It really is something to behold......I don't know about you but I have heard the Daft Punk version approximately 1.5 million times, don't get me wrong, I'm in love with it but Daughter's version is a beautiful change.
Threads
One of my most coveted brands to date, is Tibi. Effortless in design and superior in style, the Tibi collection has got me wishing I earned a lot more money!
This is my piece of the month, as worn by blogger of We Wore What, Danielle Bernstein. You can get the Honeycomb Dotted Tank HERE for $265 USD.
Kicks
Aussie brand Senso are taking my shoe obsession to new limits. I could happily only shop there for shoes, for the rest of my life. These Cadena off-white heels are walking themselves into my top 5 this month!
Pictured below is a re-gram on the Senso instagram, taken by Facehunter. Get the Cadena shoes HERE $239 AUD.
Destination
With my graduation looming, all I can think of is a beautifully relaxing break. My top hotspot this Summer is Santorini, Greece
Photos taken from worldfortravel.com & etraveltrips.com
Accessory
With the weather shaping up to be a little bit warmer (kind of!) I've gotten myself a little sunglasses obsessed. I am more than lusting after these beautifully handmade ACNE Studios Pascal sunnies. A little pricey, but it is ACNE, so you can't argue! £250 and you can get them HERE.
These are my top 5's for May! What are you loving this month?
