Power layering with Ganni
OH glorious Ganni silk striped dress. Ever since I welcomed this little number into my wardrobe, I've been hard pushed not to wear it with absolutely everything.
When this arrived through my letterbox just in time for Christmas, C/O the wonderful team at Coggles, I tore it open like a child and tried it on immediately. You know when you get something new and it makes you feel good on the inside, yeah, that. Coggles are all kinds of brilliant, you need to have a look at their sale, it's smashing!
I've worn it so many ways so far, but this look is my absolute favourite and it was all a big accident. I was shooting with Emma earlier this week and I was doing that really glamorous thing that bloggers do when shooting outside; getting undressed and re-dressed in broad daylight, in public, and I was mid change when Emma thought that my two half outfits were a full one. And so I rolled with it.
My jacket is Ganni too, I've had it for around a year and I have had the most wear out of it over anything else in my wardrobe. Ganni are just wonderful, really. Beautiful designs, amazingly cut and absolutely built to love and last.
These beloved mules are by ASOS, a steal at £32! and my watch is by Daniel Wellington, where you can grab 15% off with my discount code "DWRopesofholland".
I hope you love this outfit as much as I do! Thank you so much for reading.

Drop waists and pinstripes
Hello 2016! I hope you all had the best Christmas and New Year's Eve. We spend so long anticipating this time of year and it seems to pass us by in a flash. I had the best time but I'm kind of ready to resume to normal life now, including four very wonderful days of work to recuperate!
Last week I went for a post Christmas catch up with one of my closet girls, Lauren (Lozza to me). We shot this look and then proceeded to eat too much cheese. I mean we were both pretty poorly afterwards. But I'd do it all again in the name of cheese.
I've been living in this drop waist dress from ASOS White, and I've come to conclude that drop waists are a tall girls best friend. Super flattering, black, with a v neck and crimped edges, scoring lots of lazy girl points for me.
My Daniel Wellington watch hasn't left my wrist since it arrived. You can't go wrong when its silver paired with black leather, it literally compliments everything. Especially a lot of my jewellery. When I went back to work after Christmas I felt all kinds of naked without it.
The leather strap is incredible, I adore the crocodile effect. You can shop my watch with 15% off when you enter "DWRopesofholland" at the checkout! You're welcome!
This pinstripe wonder is also by ASOS and has travelled all over with me recently. The stand up collar is what I like most about it, and the contrast of the grey with the navy blue. Amazing.
So my obsession with Missoma jewellery isn't coming to come to an end any time soon and my favourite pieces are firmly around my neck and wrist. They very rarely come off and have worn so well.
As usual I'm wearing my favourite bag ever, by Anya Hindmarch which is now back in stock! And my very special, metallic shoes are the Adriana trainers by Acne, which I cannot stop wearing. To be honest for the first few wears my feet were screaming, but now I've worn them in, they're perfect.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I'm spending mine with my other half, family and cups of tea.

Weekday stripes for the weekend
Happy Sunday y'all! Yesterday I went to the races for my other halves, brothers 21st Birthday and we had an absolute ball. One thing I learned, was that I'm not good at gambling! My purse was incredibly light on the way home. Anyway, I haven't been to the races before but from what I understand, it's a dressy-uppy kind of affair. I immediately panicked at the very thought of having to wear a dress....but then I pulled myself together and decided to wear whatever I felt good in. I dug out my Warehouse culotte jumpsuit that they very kindly gifted to me for the Visit California awards earlier this Summer, and even though I am supposed to be saving like a mad woman for our holiday to Thailand in January, I caved and bought this amazing top by Weekday at ASOS that I had seen on Millie from It's a LDN Thing blog, to pop over the top in case it was cold. Sorry about the brickwork, our house wasn't built with my blog in mind, clearly! But I had ran out of time so I couldn't hunt for a more lovely background for you.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend today. Don't forget you can follow me on Bloglovin' HERE if you'd like to.

Oakley Frogskins
I was lucky enough to be sent these killer Oakley Frogskin's by shade station. They are by far my favourite pair of wayfarers and they come in the best combo's! I chose the grey frame with the violet lens and truth be told, I'm fighting my boyfriend off them. As I type they are being packed away for a very sunny London Fashion Week which kicks off on Friday 12th September. I will be heading down to London to meet so many incredible bloggers and it's going to be so much fun. I promise to update as much as possible! I will mostly be posting on Instagram so you can follow everything as I experience it @ropesofholland.
I won the #SKFROW competition with Schwarzkopf to sit FROW at Felder Felder, stay at The Mayfair hotel and attend the Felder Felder aftershow party. I also get to report from the show! It's all a bit mental and it hasn't really sunk in yet, but its going to be the most fun! I even have my hair and makeup done on Friday by the Schwarzkopf team, which is always a great help when you're terrible with hair and beauty like I am.
Anyway, just a casual OOTD post here for you and I'll be back very soon with absolutely loads of news and beautiful street style inspiration.

City Summer
I went to the Cow Vintage launch party in Manchester last week and picked up the perfect pair of reworked Levi shorts. I've been hunting for some ready for Thailand in January and I think its highly likely that I'll spend the 14 days wearing these! I went out for dinner with one of my best friends as my belated birthday present last night, Italian as usual, and it was gorgeous. I wanted to dress up, but not too much, so my shorts made my look much more city chic rather than, on my holidays!
Yesterday I received a very special parcel from Daniel Wellington watches, I chose the Sheffield in black and gold so I can wear it with everything- I teamed this with my staple pieces of jewellery and it fit right in.
I don't know if you saw, but if you follow me on Twitter I told the world that I'd found a bunch of amazing pieces by & Other Stories in TK Maxx. So here I'm wearing double & Other Stories in the form of the silk shirt and structured jacket. I slipped into my favourite Zara sale loafer babies and felt like I should be shopping and dining in NYC. Sadly, this time, it was just Cheshire.
