The perfect winter coat
A few amazing points:
The cut and fit of it is so spot on
Its wool (think WARMTH!)
The colour is beautiful for the winter, instead of black. Its kind of nude with the tiniest hint of pink, making it such an easy neutral colour to wear with all of your winter layers.
*My friend has already bought it after seeing it on me and there's currently £100 off!
I'm wearing a black simple ribbed jumper dress and trainers for a simple, casual but very warm look. The dress is another piece from the This is Welcome SS16 drop, which will be available in February. In case you can't wait until then...I've popped a similar alternative down for you to shop.
Shop my look:
La Redoute x Coralie Marabelle wool coat
Ribbed high neck dress by This is Welcome, similar here at Monki
Anya Hindmarch bag
Missoma x Lucy Williams dagger necklace
adidas Stan Smith trainers

ACNE Dream Jacket
These shots were taken on one of my wonderful days off from work. My days off are so important to me because I make sure I fill them up with creativity, inspirational people and generally feel-good things!
I'm living in my Gap trousers at the moment, super easy to wear, comfortable and best of all, they work wonderfully with my trainer collection. You don't need me to point out that it's getting colder....but it is, so I'm quite happy to layer away now. I put on my Sacai sweat x shirt hybrid top for extra warmth and obviously, my Anya Hindmarch bag came too.
I hope you're having a class week! Happy flipping Friday!

Back to basics
Finding the right stripes to wear with the perfect denim and vice versa, can pose some problems.
Denim: It has to fit you, and by fit, I don't mean you're a size 10/12/14 whatever, so that's the size you buy. I mean, does it suit you? Are you a skinny fit, boyfriend, girlfriend or mom jean etc...
I recently got this pair by Bethnals and I live in them. I'm a tall, boyish shape so the loose fit and cropped leg are perfect for me. The wash on these is incredible as well.
Stripes: Laid back stripes are hard to do well. I find it comes down to the quality and cut of the piece you're trying to work with. For example I know that a Primark striped tee will not be cut in the same precise way that a COS one would, so I'd rather spend a little extra to make sure it's perfect.
Trainers: Wear whatever trainers you love. The outfit is basic enough to let you run wild with your kicks! As usual, I'm in the safety blanket of my Stan Smith's here.

Atterley + Curls
Atterley are my absolute go-to for cool, clean cut, make BFF's with your bank brand.
They really are your cool-girl hero brand, you only need to spend all of five seconds on site to realise you would be hard pushed to find reasons not to shop with them.
I have always admired the way Atterley speak to me both as a customer and as somebody who loves easy to wear and ready to wear. Dressing well is a skill, but Atterley give you the perfect tools to pull it off with the quality and design of the pieces. I cannot put into words how much I adore this green skirt. I'm not kidding, I wore it out for the day last week and 9/10 women that passed me looked at it- I'm assuming that's positive attention.
Atterley offer 'Stylist Notes' on site which is a place for us to go and squeeze every last bit of inspiration from the stylist team, and put into practise when choosing an outfit based upon what we've loved the look of. From stylish ways to keep warm to time saving pieces to throw on everyday- they've got you covered. You've got to have a look....Stylist Notes
Anna and I had a bit of a well deserved girls afternoon last week. We both needed a catch up and a blow dry! We headed to blow bar Duck & Dry on Kings Road and the wonderful stylist gave me the biggest head of hair ever. I have never seen my hair so curly! Not to mention it lasted for around 3 days, yes, I used lots of dry shampoo in between....I cannot recommend them enough and I'll certainly be booking in again soon.
We then popped to Little House for some Mac n Cheese and more catch ups (Anna was a good girl and had an incredible smoked salmon salad) I, however, have no self control. Oh and Anna got stuck in the loo. Brilliant fun!
Shop my look:
Black belted wool cashmere coat, Atterley
Grey long sleeved jersey, 2 for £40 Atterley
Green satin midi skirt, Atterley

Thank you so much for reading, as always, I would love to know your thoughts.

Blue denim hues
Now I've had this shirt for about 12 months, it's H&M and it's one of my favourite fitting shirts. It's washed like a dream and hasn't lost any of its quality- and it was only £24.99.
Here, I'm updating it by unbuttoning the front few buttons and tying it into a loose knot. Subtle nods to detail are the very best.
The jeans I'm wearing here are also an older buy from ASOS but are still available. Cropped, wide leg and raw edges- there's nothing better when it comes to denim for me.
I threw on my Stan Smiths, as usual- and headed out to see Jess from Push PR at Dinny Hall (theres a beautiful post coming your way on this soon). Soon after I headed to meet Julia from Stylonylon so we could make our way to the m.i.h jeans press day- which was something to behold.
Mid week days off are just incredible- they can be so productive and inspiring. Especially when you're with the right people. I need to remind myself to do more of it.
You can shop my look below:
Chambray shirt similar at ASOS
Wide leg jeans at ASOS
adidas Stan Smiths
Anya Hindmarch bag
I hope you're having a great end of the week and have some wonderful weekend plans.
Thanks so much for reading.

Boiler Suit Sunday
Happy Tube Strike Day to my London readers....for those of you having a nice day off, and sorry to those of you it took 6 hours to get to work...I couldn't get to work today so here I am with an update. To be honest, I leave for Greece tomorrow and I'm the furthest away from ready so it's a blessing in disguise. So far I've packed x 3 pairs of knickers and a travel sized toothpaste. Something tells me I won't get very far with those items!
On Sunday I had the best day with my housemate. We headed out for brunch at the farm cafe, yes, a farm with actual animals in central London....and then we hung out and I watched her cook more food for for us!
I threw on my beloved ASOS White boiler suit and new Stans to stay cool and chilled, it was Sunday after all. Lou also lent me her Incredible Manifesto shades made from Acetate, they are just beyond wonderful. They fit beautifully and the design on them is unreal.
My new Stans are c/o the amazing team at Foot Locker as part of their Summer campaign and my God, I am in love with this woven style. You can never have too many pairs of Stans....I'm up to 6 pairs and counting.
I hope you all get home at a reasonable hour this evening! I'll be thinking of you!
Thank you so much for reading and have a great weekend.

silk suits
Oh hey Friday!
How the heck are you all? I hope you've got some gorgeous weekend plans ahead. I've got one of my besties coming to stay from back home....in the North. I can't WAIT to hear her Northern accent!
I wore this outfit this week for an event at work in Manchester. I made a pretty big error because as soon as we left London for Manchester, it started to throw it down. Oh joy!
Anyway, If it were socially accepted when working in fashion, to wear the same outfit twice in one week, I would have done with this one. It was an unintentional silk suit! Silky shorts, top and bomber. Voila!
