DPDressSelfie Competition
The lovely lot at Dorothy Perkins sent me a dress of my choice to take part in the DP Dress Selfie competition they are running until 1st July. The prize for best selfie? a dress every month for a whole YEAR c/o Dorothy Perkins. That's pretty cool isn't it, and anyone can take part! You simply snap yourself wearing your fave DP dress and use the hashtag #DPDressSelfie on Instagram or Twitter so they can find your entry. I chose this gorgeous stripy tunic denim dress and teamed it with my favourite trench, satchel and metallic brogues for a day out with my mum. My dad recently got himself a pretty swish camera and so I made him put his new skills to the test, and for his first attempt at blog shots, I'd say he was pretty damn good! Go on dad!

Those pants & Hoxton
These pants are my favourite buy of the Summer so far. £14.99 is just insanely cheap for this luxurious silky wide leg pant. So much so, that this is my second outfit post with them! You must have seen these popping up on blogs all over the show, but I first saw them as worn on Hannah Crosskey, she's a total beauty! I pretty much wore these pants as often as I could get away with so when my boyfriend and I headed out to The Hoxton Hotel in Hoxton, London, I felt pretty swish! Especially as it was our anniversary (even if neither of us remembered until a few days later). I teamed these statement pants with my other favourites, my black leather gilet, sliders and a tie-knot tee, not forgetting my beautiful Olivia Burton midi dial watch.

Olivia Burton Style Challenge
The wonderful girls at Olivia Burton Watches sent me their incredible black midi dial watch and set me a style challenge to wear it 3 ways, so this is my first look. I spent most of last week in London, a very sunny London! I was there to meet some lovely brands and catch up with some friends which was such a treat. I went out for a beautiful Italian dinner with Shay from The Londonite in Clapham and we had a ball, she is amazing! I opted for a comfortable luxe look with my new H&M wide leg trousers, Another 8 Dakota tee and new Clarks metallic brogues. On my wrist you can find the black midi dial watch by OB Watches and an Oliver Bonas bracelet that I picked up in Spitalfields.
You can shop my entire look below:
Midi dial watch: Olivia Burton
Bracelet: Oliver Bonas
Trousers: H&M

I hope you've had a lovely weekend and thank you so much for reading.

Casual
Firstly, sorry for my lack of posting over the weekend. I dropped my phone into a sink full of water on Friday, so my little iPhone was residing in a coffin full of rice for three days! Thankfully, by some kind of miracle, it's absolutely fine and working again.
*FYI- Putting your phone into a sealed container with dry rice for a few days,in an airing cupboard, really does save your iPhone if it has been dropped into water.
Most of my favourite outfits are clean, simple and casual. I feel most at home in slightly boy-ish notes and always love mixing in monochrome, one way or another! This is what I wore last Thursday when I went into Manchester for the Whistles A/W Press Day with Charlotte from LurchHoundLoves. It had been hammering it down all day so I tried to dress practical chic...if that is such a thing! Luckily, as soon as I hit Manchester the sun was shining.
What I wore:
Trench coat- H&M
Leather gilet- Robert Rodriguez at TK Maxx
Striped tee- Whistles
Jeans- Missguided
Trainers- Adidas
Backpack- Another 8
Lips- MAC in 'Ruby Woo'
I hope you had a lovely weekend and have got a good week ahead of you.
Thank you so much for reading

Stripes
Stripes have got to be my favourite 'wear anywhere' trend. Given half the chance, I'd wear something oversized and nautical everyday. Here I'm wearing a somewhat girly pinstripe pencil skirt that's borderline too tight for my liking....but I can deal with it. I'm still obsessing over my Ark platforms in this post, I've always thought a great pair of shoes can make an outfit, and I still stand by that! This is definitely a trait I picked up form my fabulously stylish mum who owns so many shoes, she has to hide them from my dad.

Details
Two of my favourite pieces recently have been super cheap, high street buys. I'm all for minimalism and clean colours so I've been forever pairing these together recently.
I'm having a moment for pinstripe, I've even bought pinstripe bedding.
Oh and obviously, the tan isn't real, but it's the best one I've ever used. Incredible colour.
