Party Face Ready

Tis' the season to PARTY. With a little help from Fragrance Direct, I want to share with you my top beauty products to get you through the party season with a fresh face.

Party
1. MAC in Lady Danger. A killer red lip goes a long way this time of year, it has the capacity to make you feel super dressed up and ready for action, even if you're not quite feeling it.
2. Bobbi Brown creamy concealer kit. An absolute hero product for me. Those tired eyes will give you away if you don't treat them with a little respect! Cover it up and make them beautiful and bright again with this super creamy brightening duo. Amazing results.
3. Clarins eye contour gel. This little gem will cool and soothe those eyes, making you feel party ready again. I always like to apply this in the morning and pre make-up, giving it enough time to dry before applying your eye concealer duo.
Post party
1. Bobbi Brown eye makeup remover. Lifesaving product right here. I never sleep in my makeup anymore, the troublesome skin the day after is just not worth it. Even when you're a little worse for wear, after having one too many glasses of prosecco...So I need a product thats going to get stubborn eye make up off and fast. Cue this Bobbi Brown genius.
2. Dermalogica concealing spot treatment. Party after party means making extra efforts with your makeup, whether thats heavier on the eyes, or topping up your foundation relentlessly in the loo, your skin suffers. I always find if I go heavy with the make up, I break out. This wonderful product by Dermalogica does two great things, the first is that it works as a concealer so that you can use it whilst you're mid knee slide at the  D I S C O and the second is that it contains spot fighting agents so it's working all the time. Win win.
I hope this has helped you out a little with your party face!Happy Christmas Eve!

Thank you so much for reading.

leather on leather

Leather is quite possibly my favourite material. Soft and buttery or tough and structured, I really don't mind. I thought I'd put 2 of my favourite leather pieces together since one is patent and the other, matt. I like simplicity and not having to try too hard to make an outfit work- I like pieces I can wear as I see them and not have to start popping things under and over them - lazy, I know.
Generally, the shape of these pieces is pretty boxy, which I love, although sometimes it would be nice to be confident enough to slip into something a little more fitted!

What I wore today #ootd

Here is my second ever #OOTD post! I sort of like doing them but there's always a risk of looking like a total posing idiot! Plus, its hard to rope people in to take photos. Never mind, you get the idea! If you don't know by now, my lovely readers, I like to dress in quite a simple, clean cut way. No fuss, frills or pretty looking things! It's the tomboy in me!
Make up: Brows by Benefit browzings kit, Foundation MAC Studio Sculpt, Blush by TOPSHOP, Lipstick MAC Viva Glam Cindi Lauper. Make up is not my strong point so I've been practising!
Head to toe in Zara here, I think it pretty much mirrors my style! Leather skinnies with gold zip detail at the ankles, although my ankles are further away from most peoples are because I'm so tall! I love how Zara is so affordable but can look so expensive. I had a few comments about this top when I was out and about (all complimentary!) It's only available in store and it's £29.99. It's beautiful because it incorporates so many different textures.
Accessories: Michael Kors watch, Marc Jacobs bracelet, Forever 21 bracelet, Monica Vinader rings.

What have you been buying?

London Fashion Week Day 2

Day 2 LFW the rise & rise of the strongest brands around.
Matchstick, a unbelievably beautiful new contemporary fine jewellery brand. The idea is, it tells a story, a boy, girl, dog and heart who all come together to symbolise the most important things and people in life. Brilliant! My favourite pieces are pictured above but the range extends to bracelets too. How can you not want one just for the presentation box? All pieces come in rose, yellow & white gold and of course, diamonds.
Kate Sheridan, a designer so lovely, I could have stayed and chatted to her all day. That's before I go head over heels for her new collection. neon. Her new collection spans screen printed leather, British fabric and the finest Italian leather. No corners are cut and everything is finished perfectly. Whether you want a cool, edgy printed back pack or a chic colour block tote....Kate Sheridan will never ever disappoint. She complained that the photo wouldn't be good, but let's be honest, she looks a million $$$!
Jas.M.B., for those of you who read a recent post I did with my new black bonded leather satchel with a flash of neon pink in the strap, those guys are back with an absolutely flawless collection. Inspired by origami and made in more colour ways of leather than one human could imagine. I had my eye on the gold card holder. I can't wait until June!
Mawi, known for its statement pieces of jewellery and striking bags, they did not disappoint. My eyes did not know what to do with themselves, glitter, bling and big fat jewels. I couldn't get enough!

TOPSHOP NEWGEN what a space they had inside Somerset House! Not only I am super pleased with all my free designer badges (and sweets) the art on the wall was pretty special too. In the same area was the Media Centre, home to MAC & Toni&Guy who were dishing out updates for hair & make up. For fear of MAC taking my whole face off to start again, I steered well clear!

So I did a little bit of street style, I didn't do a lot because if truth be told, I was too overwhelmed by my surroundings to chase the best dressed around Somerset House. Just a few snaps of things I could see!

Some of these photos aren't going to come with a blurb, so to speak, mostly because at this point I was still overwhelmed and couldn't for the life of me tell you who on earth designed these collections. Blogger fail! Sorry!
