leather on leather

Leather is quite possibly my favourite material. Soft and buttery or tough and structured, I really don't mind. I thought I'd put 2 of my favourite leather pieces together since one is patent and the other, matt. I like simplicity and not having to try too hard to make an outfit work- I like pieces I can wear as I see them and not have to start popping things under and over them - lazy, I know.
Generally, the shape of these pieces is pretty boxy, which I love, although sometimes it would be nice to be confident enough to slip into something a little more fitted!

Couture Crush launch

CoutureCrush.com is a new innovative online shopping service for guests to buy, sell or swap their designer and vintage accessories with fellow fashionistas looking for a rare find or style steal. The website had a soft launch in July 2013, followed by a launch event at The Circle Club in Manchester.

Creative Director Kaley Beardsmore saw a gap in the market that was different to dropping a bag of old clothes to your local dress agency or selling unwanted high end items for a fraction of the paid price on eBay and other re-sale ecommerce sites. CoutureCrush.com allows customers to sell pre-loved high end designer items for the price they deserve, to a home they deserve.

A selling price is agreed with the seller and Authenticate4u, which is an affiliate online website who provides pre-sale authentication documents on request from buyers. The VIP concept at Couture Crush is free and effortless service. Alternatively, sellers can upload their own product, adverts and state their preferred method of payment. They can also determine if they wish to sell only, swap only, accept private offers or all of three to allow flexible shopping between members. Kaley says,

"When I came up with this concept, I didn’t realise how enthusiastic people were about the ease of buying, selling and swapping pre loved high end garments online. Working with Authenticate4U allows our customers to gain full trust and confidence in the authenticity of our seller’s products. In addition our ‘switch for free’ allows guilt free shopping.”

Couture Crush.com is an online platform for shoppers with an aspirational lifestyle, to buy a piece of luxury at an affordable price, and wear with pride. It’s a concept that is destined to flood the online fashion retail industry.

Clean lines & beautiful silver

Jo Vane jewellery design is nothing short of fabulous. Creating bespoke pieces in silver & gold with semi-precious stones, she draws heavy influence from the environment, in particular the constantly changing coastal setting by her home.

You can shop the collection by clicking through to her online store HERE

I am pictured with the 'Reflections ring' sterling silver with a hint of rose gold & the 'Hammered silver ring'. I love both pieces individually, but I like to stack rings up to create a more unique look.

Recently, I Graduated from University in Physiotherapy. This weekend my friend was holding a Graduation party for us all so I popped on my best monochrome tones, my new favourite rings courtesy of Jo Vane, and headed off to celebrate. I was so glad I dug out my vintage structured bag that I found in a vintage shop in Leeds around 3 years ago- it's perfect, if not a little heavy! I go through phases with bags....I wear them to death then leave them for a while and move on to a new one!
