Keeping it simple

Today's post is a snappy one. I just wanted to check in and pop up one outfit that I can't get enough of at the moment. It must be all the bright colours you can see that makes it so desirable to me! Yes, clearly it's that.

My hybrid jumper x shirt is by an incredible designer named Sacai. Japanese and so talented, I'm so sold. My boyfriend introduced me to the brand as he works for Nike and Sacai have an unreal Nike collaboration that is also just perfect.
I'm such a sucker for keeping it casual, and I'm not about to change any time soon. These COS trousers are perfectly tailored but still give off a relaxed vibe, kind of like "I'm not trying too hard, but actually I've been planning this outfit for 3 hours".

These trainers are my new pride and joy, all the way from the US, Opening Ceremony just smash it for me. Minimal but cool and so different to anything on the high street. And, they're in the sale, ship to the UK within 5 days. Joy!

Shop my look:

Jumper x shirt: Sacai
Cropped box trousers: COS
Trainers: Opening Ceremony
Bag: Aspinal of London via My bag

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you're having a great start to the week.
As always, I would love to read your feedback!

Nike and Fur

Casual outfits are my favourite. You already know this. I wear trainers 80% of the time.
Foot Locker were kind enough to send me some brand spanking new season Nike Thea, which I adore. I've developed an obsession with black trainers. The more 'boy' the better! This weekend I spent some valuable time in Birmingham with my best friend Laura, who got engaged to her absolute soul mate last week, and I'm ecstatic. Last night we partied, a little harder than I was aware of until this morning, when I was met with a hangover sent to crush my soul. It was worth it though. During my time in the Midlands I popped into a couple of vintage/charity shops in search of some faux fur. Jackpot. Oversized, grey faux fur £20. Happy with that!

Saint Laurent

If you follow me on Instagram @ropesofholland, you may have seen me pouring over my new Saint Laurent sunglasses that were sent to me by the amazing team at Red Hot Sunglasses. I can't tell you how made up I am with them, I'd go as far as to say they are my pride and joy. Classic, black wayfarers will always have room in my wardrobe.

I'm majorly into duster coats, so when I spotted this khaki number in the ASOS sale, I reasoned that it was fate (much to my bank accounts disgust). Here, I've popped on my trusty striped tee, ripped up jeans and new Nike Roshe slip ons, also from the ASOS sale. I love this look for a relaxed day out shopping or hanging around at the weekend and drinking multiple cups of coffee.

Sandro

Sandro. The brand I get most excited about, the brand that fits me like a glove and the brand that always has me 'saving up'. This Parisian brand is a cut above. Beautifully finished, high end luxe pieces are what you can expect, whether you need something for an occasion or for lazy weekends. They have you covered. I teamed my electric blue zip detail jumper with this metallic mini skirt & yes, you guessed it, my Nike Free Run trainers.
Jumper: Sandro
Skirt: River Island
Trainers: Nike

Thanks so much for reading you massive babes.

B & W

I'm a sucker for a comfortable outfit, especially at the weekend. I spend all week in an NHS uniform so weekends get hit hard with as much style as I can muster. This little team of slouchy jumper, jersey mermaid skirt with my much adored Nike Free Run's kind of made me feel as if I was in PJ's all day. Excellent! On top over oversized, slouchy style I'm a big advocate of monochrome colour blocking, so here you have it, my perfect slouchy Sunday outfit.
*What I'm wearing

Jumper & skirt: Front Row Shop
Necklace: Claire's
Earrings: REO Jewels
Trainers: you guessed it, Nike Free Run

Big love and thank you so much for reading my blog and commenting as much as you all do. You're amazing!

Pink

Love at first coat. Textured, oversized and warm. The perfect throw on coat for cold, dull days. It was an absolute steal from Topshop sale, £98 down to £45. I'm sick of wearing 'all black everything' come Winter, I do it every year so when I saw this beauty I knew it was destined for my overcrowded black collection. It was gorgeous outside for these photos, but some of the photos are a little shadowy from the glaring sun, sorry!

I'm a little obsessed by trainers, with everything, at the moment so the majority of my posts will feature, trainers! They make everything so much more relaxed and comfortable. Front Row Shop are also a fave too, they have some class dupes and the quality of their pieces is brilliant. And finally, if you haven't been in Claire's since you were around 10 years old, I suggest you go back there quickly! They have some amazing statement pieces and are catching up to our age group pretty rapidly.

*What I wore:

Coat- Topshop
Sweat top- Front Row Shop
Leopard skirt- Front Row Shop
Trainers- Nike Free Run 2
Necklace- Claire's

Neon inspiration

Neon is everywhere and it doesn't seem to be disappearing! Now I'm partial to a hint of neon, so when this neon coral jersey blazer arrived from Glamorous, I couldn't wait to style it up with some cool tones.
It's pretty heavy weight and feels great on, so when you're buying this item, you're getting something that will see you through a couple of seasons. I find it's a really nice 'throw-on' layer during the day, but it could work well to finish off your LBD on a night out.
You can get it HERE on the Glamorous website! It's £48 and they offer free next day delivery, so it can be with you in time for the weekend.

I styled the blazer with some high waisted washed, mid-blue denim shorts and a loose ecru cropped cami. With neon, the piece is a statement in itself, so the key is to team it with complimentary, cool tones.
Sunglasses: Oakley Frogskins
Bracelet: Hermes

Are you still in love with neon?
